// CHAPTER I

Grids started as a side-project born out of a Tweet.

Goal: give every creative a "grid" to express themselves - a link-in-bio, portfolio, and personal website all in one.

// growth

We designed a simple waitlist that gave each sign up their own grid number to tweet, creating a small growth loop:

> 1,000 signups in 24h
> 5,100 total

// growth

We designed a growth loop that assigned each waitlist member a unique Grid number to share, resulting in 5,100 signups.

// GRIDS 2.0

We re-designed Grids from the ground up as a job platform with three main features:

> Smart job matching powered by AI

> Tinder-like browsing to filter out jobs
> Portfolio builder focused on getting you hired

// END

In late '24 we made the decision to focus on other, more exciting opportunities in AI and stopped working on Grids.
